Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Preview, Gameplay Footage

In anticipation of next weeks' release of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, you can check out a few videos of gameplay footage and a preview/interview of the title we've rounded up, in the hope those can give you a better idea of what the third game in the series brings to the table.

Total Xbox talks about the game's writing with franchise director Matthew Armstrong. The headline is catchy, though not exactly accurate:

"Dealing with tragedy is about humour for a lot of people. For a lot of people that's what you do, you find something funny and light and relaxing. So we let characters deal with their tragedies through the humour around them.

"If we actually laid out all of these characters' stories as they are and took out all the humour, this would be the bleakest, most dark and harrowing story. It would be like Cormac McCarthy's The Road: The Videogame, it would be that dark and tragic. So I think the humour is key."

PC Gamer has a video of the game with all its graphical settings maxed out at a 2560x1440 resolution:

GameSpot also has a more traditional video preview with commentary on their website, for a total of 9 minutes of (seemingly not maxed) gameplay footage.
