BioWare has published a video to explain the rationale behind the introduction of a redesigned tactical camera in Dragon Age: Inquisition and give a few tips on how to use it to new players and veterans alike. Producer Cameron Lee rightly notes that players switch between tactical camera and normal view a lot more than they ever did in previous games, but I'd argue part of the reason is that the tactical view is almost unusable in certain locations and it's certainly a lot clunkier than it should be.
