After working on the mobile port of the original Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Aspyr Media has done some work on its sequel. The Obsidian-developed title is now available on Mac and Linux, and also received a host of updates for its PC version on Steam. The updates are available on all versions of the game, and include achievements, controller support, native widescreen resolution support, Steam Cloud saves, and Steam Workshop integration. Apparently the Restored Content Mod team was onboard with this, and the mod will be available on the game's Steam Workshop page as soon as it launches:
Welcome to the newly updated KOTOR II! Mac and Linux users can finally play one of their favorite games natively, and we've added a host of new features to this beloved classic!
New Features:
- Steam Workshop support! We've proudly teamed up with the Restored Content Mod team and TSLRCM will be available on day 1!
- Achievements can now be earned through gameplay
- Controller support
- Native widescreen resolution support
- Support for up to 5K monitors
- Steam Cloud saves
Currently the game is 25% off on Steam, in case this update convinced you this is the right time to buy the game.

Update: the developers have confirmed that they are in talks with GOG to bring the update over to their service (thanks NeoGAF):
I'm working on that with our friends at GOG and DIsney. Should know more after GamesCom
