The team that manages the Big Box PC Game Collectors group on Facebook was able to get their hands on a selection of high resolution screenshots and cinematic stills from an unreleased beta version of Ultima IX: Ascension, the lot of which should help trigger some nostalgic longing from all fans of the classic RPG series. Word is:

Many of you have seen these images before, but not in this resolution. Most of the pics you see of the unreleased version of the game are small pics, scanned from old magazines. These are original digital files (modeled by Denis Loubet), and taken from EA's archives. I've also included some beta screenshots in a higher resolution than previously available. Love it or hate it, Ultima IX was a revolutionary game, and the end of the Ultima saga.
