A brand new Valentine's Day-themed Kickstarter update for MuHa Games' 4X/RPG/CCG hybrid Thea 2: The Shattering lets us know what the developers are currently working on, outlines the upcoming Early Access updates, and shares plenty of new screenshots and some art.
Here are the text parts:
WIP
This month has been busy, with many new features and updates added to Thea. To name a few, we have implemented the long awaited research mechanics. You can now gain research through tasks in your village or gathering artefacts that are spread throughout Thea. While researching, or simply exploring the lands, you will also unlock knowledge about the places and creatures you encounter and you can then read about them in our Theopedia. We also added those much needed faction markers, so you can actually track your loyalty points.
Our next big update will tackle seasons, and we already have bits of it on the alpha branch, so it is all looking very exciting. It does involve a lot of work, hence the patch output may be slow until we finish this. We're also working or those god traits and cards, to make them more fun and balanced.
While doing seasons, Khash has already cough a few bugs, like improper spawning of roaming groups, small villages never making it into the game, so the next patch will bring many 'nice' changes.
Oh, and the topic of the mini map came up at our meeting, so it may be done soonish ;)
KS QUESTS UPDATE
I am almost finished with the Kickstarter quests, so once they get at least their initial testing and proofreading, they can be implemented into the game. After that, I will hopefully finish that ever-elusive divine quest, which will mark the last of the major story lines for the release.
As a side not to this, I tried putting all of the KS events in one module, so you can have a peek inside once it is available, but, there may be some vents that did not make it in there, because they were used in other modules. For example, a few of the ideas were centred around the gods or the shattering, and those are a part of either the main quest or the divine storyline.
