Divinity: Fallen Heroes Announced

Taking a page out of Iron Tower Studio's book, Larian Studios has decided to follow up their highly successful expansive cRPG Divinity: Original Sin II with a more focused tactical spin-off. Entitled Divinity: Fallen Heroes, the game promises to combine rich turn-based tactics with a plethora of RPG-style choices and consequences, all squeezed into the Original Sin II engine. And if that isn't exciting enough for you, in order to make Fallen Heroes, Larian will be joining forces with Logic Artists, the team behind the Expeditions series.

Who will rise to command the fallen?

Divinity: Fallen Heroes is a new tactical game oozing with RPG elements, developed as a co-production between Larian Studios and Logic Artists. Faced with a new evil, we're calling on YOU to command The Lady Vengeance and continue the story of Divinity: Original Sin 2.

Fallen Heroes marries rich tactical gameplay with RPG choices and consequences, and introduces a wealth of new features and mechanics to the D:OS 2 engine. It will be released on multiple platforms later in the year. Delve deeper into the world of Rivellon as you command your troops aboard the Lady Vengeance. Explore new lands and wield new weapons and skills. Build your squad and vanquish never-before seen corners of Rivellon. Divinity: Fallen Heroes features two player cooperative play as well as a single player mode.

Some additional details:

Delve deeper than ever-before into the rich, fantasy world of Rivellon. With the fate of the races in your hands, it’s up to you to lead the Lizards, Elves, Dwarves, Undead, Demons and Humans. Recruit hero and veteran units and dispatch squads armed with both magic and steel. Each decision will have to be carefully weighed as your leadership will be tested and your choices judged.
  • Recruit troops, research new gear, and level up heroes aboard The Lady Vengeance.
  • Gunpower comes to Divinity. Lock’n’load with an arsenal of guns and rifles, but don't forget to use swords and sorcery when necessary.
  • Interactive elements bring a new twist to the tactics genre. Toy with Oil, Fire, Ice, Water and Poison elements, joined also by the new Sulfurium element.
  • Play in either single player or coop, with tactical combat featuring simultaneous turns!
