Earlier this month, Bethesda's mobile action-RPG The Elder Scrolls: Blades received its v1.5 update that introduced several new features, including player guilds. As such, we now get this article on the official website that goes over Blades' basic guild functionality. Have a look:
Update 1.5 for The Elder Scrolls: Blades is live, giving you a whole new way to play with one-on-one battles in the Arena, as well as a totally overhauled loot system. It’s a lot to take in at once but thankfully, you don’t have to go it alone: Guilds are here!
By joining a Guild, players can join an in-game community of players to cooperate, keep in touch and even take a trip to each other’s towns! Starting up your joining your first Guild? Here are the basics of Blades’ newest social feature:
CHAT
Say hi to your guildmates! Guilds feature a group chat function that let you send messages visible to every member of your Guild.
The Guild chat is a great place to learn more about the game, discuss the best equipment loadouts or just shoot the breeze – it’s up to you! As with any online interaction, be careful not to share sensitive information in the chat, as it can been seen by everyone in your Guild.
GIFT
Need a little extra lumber to finish your latest town project? Call upon the help of your guildmates! Players in a Guild can request specific materials, which can then be gifted by their fellow guild members.
Basic materials will be available to request from the start, but equippable gear, potions and decorations cannot be traded via Guilds. Better materials will become available to request as you level up your Town, meaning you’ll need a higher-level Smithy if you want those rarer smithing components!
A Guild member can send a request once every eight hours, but you can gift materials once every hour. To make a guildmate-in-need’s day, simply find their request and select the ‘Donate’ option. Logging in frequently to gift materials isn’t just helpful – it’s a great way to endear yourselves to your fellow guildmates.
VISIT
You’ve worked hard to restore your Town to glory; now’s the time to show it off! Players can explore the Towns of any guildmate to stroll around, talk to NPCs and even do a little shopping.
Players can’t sell or craft items in another player’s Town, but they can check in with the local Merchant to see what wares they have on sale. Don’t worry about players buying up everything in your Town during their stay, as Merchants stock a unique inventory for every visiting player!
REPRESENT
Guilds stand for cooperation and community, but bragging rights aren’t half-bad either. Players can see their guildmate’s PvP trophy count and the global player leaderboard lists each players’ Guilds. Become on of the strongest champions in the Arena to represent your chosen Guild to the world!
Whether you join up with a few close friends or as part of a larger community, Guilds expand the world of The Elder Scrolls: Blades while also bringing players closer together. If you haven’t yet, update the latest version of Blades, join up a Guild, gift a few Ingots and continue building your Town – together!
We’re so excited to see how Guild enhances your experience with Blades. We’ve got a lot of ideas in mind in the coming year and welcome your feedback and suggestions!
