This month's Kickstarter update for Spiderweb Software's upcoming RPG Queen's Wish 2: The Tormentor directs us to the game's Steam page, its entry on the official Spiderweb website, shares a couple of fresh screenshots, and talks about backer rewards.
We also get a new trailer:
And here's the game's description:
You are a child of the dread Queen of the mighty empire of Haven. Alas, your life of happy luxury has been stripped from you. The Queen, your mother, is desperately ill, so you have been forced to travel to the savage Rokaj. It is a poor and brutal land of warriors, constantly prone to rebellion.
You find yourself in the middle of a vicious power struggle, between your masters back home and the raiders and assassins of the wilderness. A rebellion is brewing. If you can’t prove yourself and master the wild Ro, it will be a bloody disaster. Can you take control of your Empire’s lands? And what will you do with them once you have it?
Explore a vast nation full of cities, forts, and dungeons. Fight clever, carefully designed turn-based battles. Deal with misbehaving vassals with bribery, diplomacy, or violence. Build new forts and customize them, choosing among upgrades that give your adventurers powerful bonuses.

And the text bits from the Kickstarter update:
Greetings, backers! It’s been a very busy two months since our last update, and we have a lot of exciting news. Queen’s Wish 2: The Tormentor is officially announced! Story info! Screenshots! A full trailer! It’s a big information dump, ready for consumption.
The Queen’s Wish 2: The Tormentor Steam page is now up. If you would like to support us, the best thing to do is Wishlist it. Steam relies very heavily on wishlists to determine what games to support. Of course, you will get a Steam key eventually either way. We also have the official page up on our website.
The user-suggested bonus quest line is also almost done. It’s a lot of fun and weird and provides a nice bit of variety from the rest of the game. Thanks again for the great ideas!
As for the game itself, we’re making great progress. Alpha testing has been going for a while, and bugs are being eradicated at a rapid rate. The game world itself is almost done. The endgame should be finished by the end of April, at which point we will do the Windows port and begin the long march to an official release in the Fall.
Backer Rewards
We are finally getting serious about making all of the certificates and annotated maps and other treats for backers. We'll be sending out a survey asking for addresses soon. Please keep an eye open for that. Also, backers who are entitled to take part in beta testing will hear from us in 1-2 months. We'll need to have a functional Windows version first, which will take some doing.
So enjoy all the new information! We don’t want to spoil too many surprises, but there should be a lot to pick apart. Enjoy a few shots below, and you’ll hear more soon!
