Will it be possible to download single player modules, or use the modules that ship with the game, and play online alone, while still maintaining our characters in the vault???
eg: I've played a multiplayer module - but now I download a single player module... Can I take my vault character and play the single player module online - and potentially alone???
- Vault characters transfer from the vault to the server and back again. As a player you don't have any direct contact with your character. You tell the server what character you want and it submits your request.
Cheating Vault characters will still be possible, but users will be limited as to the scope of the cheats they can implement. If you give your low level character a Holy Avenger in a twink module the Vault will filter that weapon on check in. If you give you character thousands of experience points the Vault will filter for reasonable progression. Limited cheating is possible, but it doesn't help out that much. Imagine what happens when a cheated up 10th level character fights a legit 10th level character. My money is on the legit player.
