Scripts Enough?

Have read through a few of the posts here and didn't see anything on this, so if this is a repeat question forgive me.
How much control are we going to have in developing our new world using the scripting language. Are their going to be methods exposed in the object classes and if so are we going to be able to a step further and overwrite methods or add new methods.
I guess that I thinking is that I would like to have the ability to make calls and tailor my world's attributes based off the a core of defaults, versus having to build new objects.
Then there is the question of objects. Are going to be able to create new ones fit our needs.
Say for instance will if I wanted Umber Hulk #1 to be the standard default UH, but I want for his big brother UH #2 to be faster, stronger, better, how would this work.
- Add Class Methods
- Overwrite Class Methods
- Change Class Variables
- New Object
- Lot's o'scripting..
May be I'm thinking a little to grand, as far as how much custom development we will have access to, but this to is the part of the question. What are our limitations?
Quotes: You will be able to do most of what you request.
If you wanted to make a special NPC it may take the addition of some extra powers to a half orc fighter with wooden armour and a scimitar. If the rules are against it, you can't just change the rules, but there is always an elegant way to work within the rules and still get what you want.
We do not support winged elves in NWN.
Again, what you describe is a kobold shaman with a few "additions". Completely possible.
Monsters and NPC are "really" the same thing. Monsters as people tend to think of them are just hostile when they meet you. There is no reason an intelligent monster could not act as any npc in a city would. The gnoll could have been scripted to tell you a piteous tale of woe upon encountering your party and then lead you to his home. As for hm joining you, we are still working on the henchman system.

Monsters and NPC's are technically the same. You can mix and match any abilities or stats between them.
