- There are 5 new screenshots. At least, there are 5 I haven't come across before. Of those, 2 show different versions of things we've seen before.
But the other three are very cool :-)
Firingsquad11:
Notice, first and foremost the altered radial menu. It is not the same one seen in other ss, being obviously context sensitive to picking up/equipping/examining/casting at or trapping something on the ground (that being what looks to be a bastard sword.
Next, the armor of the man in back, the spiked pauldrons may have been seen in earlier shots, but not weathered and *used* looking. In fact, the overall appearance to me is of a soldier that's been in the field a long time.
Third, there are the standing stones. They are new. If at all possible, I'd like to see a slight bulge of grass/earth about their bases to emphasis weight and age, but they are acceptable to me :-)
Finally, the dwarf. I am sorry, but he does not look... *bulky* enough. It wasn't until I read the chat in pic 12 that I found out he was a dwarf at all. That may have been an illusion of the static picture and watching the animations it would be much clearer. Also, if I had seen a heavy beard, I may have caught it.
Firingsquad12:
Here we discover Red is a dwarf... ok, already mentioned that... (A dwarf picking up a sword :-P
But we do see a lower level with a stone wall in the background. Beyond that it gets pretty hazy but you can see the bare limb of a tree. I do hope we see an increase in foliage.
Firingsquad 14:
Pits! Very mysterious pits... Can we use them as transitions? Likely :-) Would be a tad more useful if we could drop a placeable ladder or toss a rope over the edge so players would know they could climb down (hit the transition to go to another area, not actually climb :-P
Also bricks on the floor... A function of that particular entrance tile? Or dropable objects? Taking the chat into account and what looks like a few large chunks of wall, I think the entrance (unfortunately covered by the GUI icons) is a hole torn through the wall. Cool :-)
Overall, a quite pleasing little trove of pics.
Need more creatures though :-Þ
