Onslaught -Question: I know how it is to be creative to the point of designing Web sites, but I run into obstacles along the way as far as content. Do you run into creative blocks a lot when trying to develop streets and buildings for each type of race?
Shepherd - Answer: Creative blocks are an issue that every designer of every kind must deal with at some point. I’ve found that if I’ve hit a creative obstacle, the best way to get around it is to feed the part of my brain that’s lacking creative fuel. Research and resource gathering on the topic at hand will almost always spark something for me, and then it’s just a matter of putting the pieces together. At a more specific level, gathering books about architectural styles and city planning would be my solution for a block in the realm of “streets and buildings.” Ipsa scientia potestas est - knowledge itself is power.
