The first chapter of the Neverwinter Nights beta begins with another slightly animated cinematic, depicting the destruction of the academy from an unknown force. Your character’s real story begins here as he (or she) endeavors to find out what happened to the town and save Neverwinter. We won’t go into too much detail about what we encountered in the first chapter (partly to keep some surprises and partly because this is an impressions article, not a full-fledged preview) but we can say that the game doesn’t hold back in giving your character plenty to do and see in Neverwinter. You also appreciate the graphics even more, especially as you look at the docks in one part of the level which have some terrific water effects.
