Chris Avellone & Tex Yang Interview

The Icewind Dale II fansite Icebound has conducted an interview with Black Isle's Chris Avellone and Tex “BloodLust” Yang, talking about several aspects of the game and how development is coming along. An excerpt to follow:

Q: Now that IWD2 is wrapping up (81 stars and counting) what are you doing with your free time?

Tex: Well, there is no free time yet. As we get closer to the light at the end of the tunnel, there is less and less time that would be qualified as free. Oh, that reminds me, I’ve procrastinated on that caffeine IV pump again - wow, if my head wasn’t attached to my shoulders…

Chris: Fixing bugs. There literally is no free time - we're all pulling about 12 hour days, usually seven days a week, and will be until it ships. When one of us falls, the others pick him up, and we sing songs as we work to try and keep our spirits up. Sometimes the coal dust from the mines gets in our lungs, and we cough, but we try to muffle them so the jailers don't hear us. Sick developers are carted away to the slaughterhouse, where we are cut up into meat and used to make glue.
