Q: How does the storyline of the game relate to the original title, if in fact it does?
A: The original Bard's Tale came out almost 20 years ago at a time when games were so rudimentary compared to what we are producing now. As far as storyline, there is little connection. There is some basic commonality, such as your role as the Bard who uses music to (make magic) and the setting is similar (the Orkney Islands off the coast of Scotland) but other than that they are quite different. It's sort of like comparing the Model T to a new BMW. They're both cars but several generations apart.
