Every day of the recording process, we have a different voice actor coming by, who has to read texts from a lot of different characters in the game. In order not have a lot of characters sound the same, the voice actors need to be able to do a large range of different voices. The characters are also spread over the different voice actors, so the same person does not do characters close to each other.
Our sound engineer, Simon, does the recording. He has the important task of making sure everything is recorded well. Post-processing includes adding sound effects to certain voices to make them sound more like a demon, a ghost, etc. Also part of the voice recording is Thomas (story designer) and Frederik (story implementer, that's me), who guide the actors by telling them more about each character for which they are doing the voice. Occasionally, we also need to get rid of background noise caused by our co-workers who are holding their coffee break in the room next to the sound studio...
