Star Wars: KotOR Review

Lots of gameplay, an interesting if a little cliched plot, very well fleshed-out characters (not just the main one, but the supporting ones), upgradable characters and weaponry (finally you can tweak your lightsaber, although I would have preferred more), powerful Force skills and mighty foes to vanquish; really, Knights of the Old Republic has it all in spades. While the replay value is dubious (once you've solved all the puzzles on your first run, you can zip right through it), especially if you're the completist type and manage to do all the sidequests on the first run (not hard), there's still a good chunk of gameplay built-in. If you've a hankering for a solid RPG that doesn't have to rely on its background material to be good - but it's a nice boost of goodness for Star Wars fans anyway - then go visit the Old Republic.
