Epic jaunts are just one option. No longer are 70-man pileups against unstoppable dragons required. In fact, the most memorable escapades are best tackled by five- or six-man groups. Portrayed as an extremely personal undertaking, EverQuest II is meant for consumption by solo explorers or small bands of regular traveling companions. Accordingly, key scripted scenarios are encapsulated within so-called "instant zones," virtual pockets that let parties digest important plot developments without fear of interruption. The development team likens the overall experience to playing classic Dungeons & Dragons.
