Test Version 1.70o Release Notes

May 19, 2004

===================================

NEW THINGS AND BUG FIXES

- Facilitate Painworking (the Necromancer quickcast spell) now works identically to other list casters' Quickcast ability. Previously it had a very small chance of failure when fighting higher level opponents.

NEW FRONTIERS NOTES

- (Pendragon Only) All realm abilities have been cleared and the points for them refunded. Please see your class trainer to repurchase your realm abilities.

- (Pendragon Only) Bounty point costs associated with keep and tower upgrade/ownership have now been reinstated. It will now also cost gold, bounty points, or guild bounty points to purchase items off of hookpoints. Please note that tower and keep bounty costs are currently incorrect and will be adjusted in a later version.

- (Pendragon Only) All keeps and towers will be reset to level 1, unclaimed status, and original realm ownership.

- Guilds that own keeps will now get the old realm point award of 1000*keep difficulty per hour (on PvP servers, this is the 1000+1000*number of relics owned).

- Pets will now be teleported through doors with their owners.

- It will no longer be possible for realm enemies to attack players on the high speed transport boats.

- Players will no longer be able to teleport when dying from a duel. The realmwar map will no longer appear on a duel death.

Battlegrounds

- The new battlegrounds, with the exception of Proving Grounds and The Lions Den, are now ready for testing on Pendragon. Players can now use the portal ceremonies at the border keeps in their home realm to port into the battlegrounds using the Battleground Medallion of Passage. The names and level ranges of the battlegrounds are as follows:

1 - 4 Proving Grounds
5 - 9 The Lions Den
10 - 14 The Hills of Claret
15 - 19 Killaloe
20 - 24 Thidranki
25 - 29 Braemar
30 - 34 Wilton
35 - 39 Molvik
40 - 44 Leirvik

- The new battlegrounds do not have realm point caps.

- We have set the /level command to 14 to facilitate testing in the Battlegrounds. We will raise this level as testing proceeds to match each battleground in succession.

CAMELOT CLASSIC WORLD NOTES

Capital Cities

- Please be aware that the capital cities are currently undergoing a slight "renovation" with the merchants. A lot of the familiar merchants are gone and have been replaced with static NPCs who now have combined stores on them. When some of these NPCs greet players, their talk may be incorrect. This is a known issue and is currently being adjusted.

New Class Gifts

- We have added new class gifts to the game (in addition to the ones currently given out at level 5). These will be given by the class trainers in each realm's capital city, as well as the class trainers in Caer Gothwaite, the Grove of Domnann, and Aegir's Landing.

- There are four new gifts for each class. The gifts are given based on the character's level.

- The first new gift will be given to characters level 10 to 14. The second will be given to characters level 15 to 19, the third to characters level 20 to 24, and the fourth to characters level 25 to 35.

- Please note that these class gifts are given out one time only. Once you receive one, you will not be able to get another gift for that level range, even if you lose or destroy the item.

Item Notes

- (Albion) Faded Boots now have the correct studded icon in place of the leather icon.

TRIALS OF ATLANTIS WORLD NOTES

Oceanus Encounters

- As a part of the Eirene's Hauberk artifact encounter, Linos will remain up at his current location for a full day after spawning.

Item Notes

- (Albion and Hibernia) The Breath of the Wind instruments now have a more fitting particle effect.

- (Albion) Hermes Golden Sleeves can now be dyed with enamels.
