Climax Responds to Warhammer Online's Demise

Climax today issued an official statement relating to the demise of Warhammer Online, the MMORPG the UK studio was developing alongside Games Workshop that it was sadly announced yesterday had bitten the dust following a full review of the progress of the game, costs to date and future costs of the project.

Karl Jeffery, Climax's CEO, has commented in some length on the closure of the title, saying: "It was a deeply sad thing for us to have to do after so much hard work and commitment from the entire team, but the costs involved in bringing the Warhammer massively multiplayer online game (MMO) to market meant that we were left with little choice."
