Lineage II Review

Lineage II has a built-in fan base that more or less assures a reasonable degree of success regardless of any flaws it might have. Not only is it the successor to the most populous MMORPG on the planet, it's also the latest PvP title available. As Dark Age of Camelot and Shadowbane have proven, there's a market for this style of play; however, these two factors alone don't automatically make Lineage II a classic. For anyone new to the genre, this isn't the best place to start due to the technical flaws and PvP griefing. Even veterans of the online role-playing genre will find the many errors impeding their fun. There's also a lack of any true innovations that might draw in longtime fantasy fans. When all is said and done, Lineage II doesn't have enough to offer to make it worth the time, effort or cost.
