Vampire: Bloodlines Preview

Much of the core Vampire experience appears to have been kept. Feeding (i.e. drinking blood), for example, must not take place in public as it scares people, and the Prince (whom you're working for at the beginning of the game) dislikes vampires breaking the Masquerade. Draining humans dry leads to a loss in the characters' humanity rating, which in turn makes them more susceptible to losing control in a frenzy when they smell blood. There's no need to worry about being attacked once leaving a human with only a drop of blood left in them the feed is so overwhelming that they have no memory of it, although those bite-marks on the neck could be difficult to explain.
The vampiric powers remain as powerful and visually pleasing as ever, with powers like Blood Purge causing humans to cough up blood, and the higher level spell of the same type (the Thaumaturgy spell class), Blood Boil, making the target explode inside-out. Obviously there are numerous new spells as well, all of which will be both of use to the player and great fun, if things turn out according to plan.
