In the Chinatown hub, you'll meet Ming Xiao, head of the Kwei-Jin, or the Eastern vampires in White Wolf's universe. The Kwei-Jin are different from Western vampires in that they don't feed on blood but rather on chi, the life force contained in all things. They also view their vampiric nature as a sort of Zen enlightenment rather than as a curse, like Western vampires. As a result, Ming Xiao's approach to your character in conversation can be haughty, depending on your responses to her baiting. Boyarsky explained to us that your character's responses will be based on his or her abilities and the type of vampire he or she is.
And a snip from IGN PC's article:
Chinatown turned out to be an interesting place for a couple of reasons. The biggest of these was the fact that it's controlled by Asian vampires that aren't technically vampires. One thing is clear, these guys consider themselves more refined than the Camarilla. For those that don't know, the Camarilla is made up of seven very different clans of vampires, forged as an alliance during the inquisition to protect vampire kind. Apparently the Kuei-Jin are a bit different than vampires in that they don't have to feed on human blood, instead sucking some sort of essence from them without harm. They consider the act of feeding on human blood beneath them.
