World of Warcraft Reviews

The Gameplay in World of WarCraft may appear to be like a lot of other MMOG titles. However, the way in which Blizzard implements the Gameplay is unlike any other you have ever played. Players start off in a newbie zone where they are given a few quests. Levels progress very fast for the first fifteen levels. As players complete a quest and return to the quest giver, they are given a significant amount of Experience. For the first time in a MMOG, players actually have an incentive to complete quests because they can gain levels faster than by simply killing enemies. Quests can be a variety of different things. Some of them require you kill a certain number of enemies or collect drops off enemies, some of them require you to escort someone or bring an item, some of them want you to kill a specific monster, etc.
The second is at 3DAvenue with an overall score of 82/100:
All in all, World of Warcraft is a very good game for a beginner to the genre. Its ease of play will allow anyone to pick it up and get stuck in. That ease of play however will turn off people looking for a more challenging in-depth game. Graphically it really depends on ones taste, most people are going to love it or hate it. If you're looking for something simple to play, that you can solo relatively happily then this is the game for you. If you are new to MMORPG's then it is a great introduction and you can graduate to games with more depth. Unfortunately for me I won't be playing this beyond the first month, but will check back in a few months when more of the promised features have been added and hopefully the problems are sorted out. There are far too many issues with this game, maybe once they are sorted out it will warrant some of the high scores out there.
And the third is at ThinkFishStick with no overall score:
It's hard to review a game with a magnitude like WoW's, it's so complex and everchanging that it's hard to just narrow it down to simple good points and bad points. If you've never played a MMORPG before and don't mind the monthly cost ($15/mo if you pay on a monthly basis, $14/mo if you pay trimonthly, and $13/mo if you pay per semester. It also comes with a free month), I suggest picking up World of Warcraft now. For those 'opposed' to the monthly cost, consider this. After more than a month, WoW still captivates me as much as it did on the first day. If i check how much time i've spent ingame (there's a command), it tallies up to over 100 hours. How many games have you recently bought, that were $55 and offered you less than 10 hours of gameplay? You might just find it so engrossing and instantly become a fan of the genre. If you've played a MMORPG before, I suggest picking up WoW either way. Myself, I've played Everquest for about 2 years, and have found myself constantly asking "Why didn't EQ think of this?" while playing WoW.
A definite must-get.
