BioWare unveils recruitment efforts for GDC and beyond
Video-game developer looking for top-notch talent to expand teams developing next-generation PC and console projects
EDMONTON, Alberta, Canada, March 4, 2005 BioWare Corp. announced its plans today to continue the expansion of its development teams for its future video-game projects. The Edmonton-based company is actively recruiting for a variety of positions across numerous disciplines, and will be taking those recruitment efforts across North America in the upcoming months.
From March 7-11, 2005, BioWare will be attending the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, California, where hopeful recruits will have the opportunity to learn more about the company and its games, as well as the positions available, which include 3D graphics programmers, technical artists, senior writers, and many others. BioWare is gearing up for the April 14 release of Jade Empireâ„¢, a martial-arts action role-playing game (action-RPG) for the Xboxâ„¢, to be published by Microsoftâ„¢. The game is set in a brand new world created and owned by BioWare, and is among the most anticipated games of 2005. Future BioWare titles include Dragon Ageâ„¢, BioWare's next epic RPG revolution for the PC, as well as an additional unannounced title both of which are also based in new worlds created and owned entirely by BioWare. BioWare's Technology Architecture Group (TAG) is also developing the company's next-generation game-engine technology for PC and console, the BioWare Eclipse Engineâ„¢.
