The Bard's Tale Review

Jolt Online Gaming has written up a review of inXile's The Bard's Tale, giving the action RPG an overall score of 7.0/10. Their conclusion:
The Bard's Tale is unlikely to set the gaming world alight, thanks mainly to its repetitive combat. Yes, it's funny, and it does crack a few good observations about the genre. However, by making the same mistakes that the games it's laughing at make, it shoots itself in the foot a bit. Nevertheless, if you've played through the Dark Alliance games and Champions of Norrath and are eager for more, you could certainly do far worse. The quirky sense of humour and attitude the game purveys, coupled with the interesting summoning system, add up to an entertaining title that'll satisfy many. Don't expect a (proper) RPG, though.
