Because much of the content (maps 'n' stuff) streams directly from the servers, it is also endlessly flexible, completely modular and ripe for future developments. It's going to be one of the most important games of this year and years to come. We can't wait to see what happens.
The second is at Primotech with an overall score of 90%:
If you're like me and can't move on until you've done all of the quests in an area, then you have well-over 60 hours of gameplay to look forward to. Even if you only do the co-operative missions, the game is still huge and challenging. And if that wasn't enough, this is only Chapter 1. ArenaNet is constantly adding content, including new quests, and soon they will release an expansion, with new skills and all new areas and missions. While there is no monthly fee, expansions will cost money, but I have no problem paying for new content and if you're cheap and don't want to, you don't have to. You can continue to play the original game unhindered. So if you're thinking that this game sounds good, but you don't like MMORPGs, get off your ass and buy it anyway. This game is unlike any MMORPG you've ever experienced before. We're sure to be talking about this one for months, if not years, to come.
And the third is at PCGamesSource with an overall score of 94%:
Overall, Guild Wars comes flying through with a high-quality presentation. It's not too often that we see a MMORPG that redefines some of the gameplay to make itself stand out from the crowd. Add to that some beautiful graphics, an interesting storyline, and the fact that there is no monthly fee, and you've got a title that should attract almost any PC gamer whether they're interested in MMORPGs or not. It may have a few problems here or there, but overall it has impressed us with its quality and lag-free gameplay which isn't always the case right when a new game of this genre is first released. If you're looking for a new take on the MMORPG genre, or if you're just looking to get a taste of a large fantasy world that never ends, then you should certainly be giving Guild Wars a closer look.
