Auto Assault Roadhouse #3 Reports

As we'd expect, there will be an extensive selection of weapons. They can be broken down into a few different types. Any front-mounted one is fixed to the vehicle, which means that to bring a target into its arc of fire, you have to drive so that it's almost directly in front of you. Turrets, on the other hand, are able to swivel around a full 360-degree arc. Spikes, blades, flamers et al are for melee; they augment the damage dished out when you ram a foe. In a related vein, hitting a friendly won't cause injury, as above, because this isn't thought to be as much fun. The fourth group is rear drops, which encompasses the likes of mines, oil slicks and more. If I heard correctly, every car, tank or other conveyance will have four hard points, one per category. With respect to what you'll see within the overall range, a partial listing includes machine guns, cannons, gauss guns, rail guns, rocket-propelled grenades, plasma sprayers, mass drivers, spike launchers, and even some alien arms.
A snip from MMORPG.com's article:
Weapons can also be upgraded after looting, via either Enhancements or Gadgets. Enhancements are either on the item when you loot it or can be added via crafting. Enhancements do useful things such as lowering the weight of an item or making a specific skill more powerful. Gadgets are separate items that are dropped that can be put into slots on the weapons. Sometimes these slots are already open, sometimes they are locked; locked slots can be open via the crafting skill (tinkering.) Think carefully before adding an Enhancement or Gadget to a weapon, as they can't be removed once added.
And a snip from Ten Ton Hammer's article:
Tricks and trims will allow the fashion concious Auto Assault player to make their ride portray their inner beauty. Tricks are the three dimensional bits like fins and spoilers that can be added to a vehicle. They have no effect on the abilities of the player or the car. They are for looks only. Trim are things like stencils, decals and paint that change the colour and skin of the car. Each vehicle will have a primary and secondary colour. Players will be able to loot paint cans that they can then use to customize their ride.
