Guild Wars is a rich, detailed and diverse world with plenty of scope for expansion, something that the developers look more than willing to build on and which is already creating a dedicated user-base. To not buy this just because you don't 'see the point', want to 'use guns and rockets and stuff' is just cutting your nose off to spite your face. You will have fun playing this, and with no monthly fees, you can afford to.
