What's Up Next for the Xbox 360?

GameSpy has whipped up a huge feature that takes a closer look at the games currently being developed for the Xbox 360. As expected, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Mass Effect are both mentioned and each one is given a short preview. A snip about Oblivion:
The last game in this popular RPG series, Morrowind was one of the Xbox's most beloved games, so it's no surprise that Bethesda Softworks is taking its time to make the new game one of the 360's must-have titles. While fans were bummed that the game didn't make the launch date, they have every reason to feel safe with the knowledge that the finished product will kick some serious medieval ass. The game is presented from a first-person view, allowing you to feel even more immersed in the immense world that the developer has created. Stunning graphics and highly realistic lighting effects add to the realism, as does a nice variety of environments, from sprawling forests to claustrophobia-inducing dungeons.

And a snip about Mass Effect:
As the creators of some of the Xbox's biggest games, there's no denying that Canadian developer BioWare knows what it takes to make an awesome console role-playing game. In designing Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and Jade Empire, they were able to create gorgeous worlds, populate them with intriguing characters, and write them into storylines that featured a number of branching paths. At the recent X05 conference in Amsterdam, they announced that they'd be bringing their most ambitious project ever exclusively to the Xbox 360. The first part of a proposed trilogy, this sci-fi epic is a completely original property, ensuring that BioWare will be able to take the story in whatever direction they please.
