The classic races (Dwarves, Elves, etc.) and original classes (Paladin, Cleric and more) are available to play (including a few new ones, like the mystically cyborgish Warforged), and playing style varies wildly depending on whom you choose. Pick a Warforged Barbarian and you'll discover an almost indestructible brute that deals serious damage, but play as an Elven Rogue and you'll have the opportunity to spot and disarm traps and dash out of the reach of attackers. These skill sets and abilities are different by design. Unlike other massively multiplayer online (MMO) games that claim to encourage teamwork, the relative weaknesses and strengths inherent in each class help to ensure that players will need to form parties in order to successfully negotiate the colossal dungeon crawls and missions strewn throughout the city of Stormreach, where the game takes place.
