Q: The download includes characters created by the Epic Builders Guild. That all being said, is this really a role-playing module?
Chris Priestly: Absolutely. Even though it is an old school hack & slash, there is still a strong BioWare story with some very cool encounters, creatures and NPCs.
Stanley Woo: I suppose you COULD roleplay it, if you're a huge fan of Undermountain. Halaster's a pretty wily wizard and he's put a lot of obstacles in the characters' way. But no, I wouldn't call this a role-playing module. It's more of a "hey, let's go kill things and get some loot while figuring out the mystery" module. I think I had more fun with Chris and Bruce testing it in multiplayer.
Chris Priestly: Keeping in mind that Stan couldn't roleplay his way out of a wet paper bag. There is less role playing than in Kingmaker or Pirates of the Sword Coast, but it is still there.
Stanley Woo: Hey, I'll have you know that I've been roleplaying for half my life, and my theatre background has really helped in that regard, too. Just because you're a Mister Grumpy McEvilpants doesn't mean you have to make fun of my chosen geek lifestyle. But I (grudgingly) agree with Chris. There are fewer roleplaying opportunities than in our other Premium modules.
