Crusade Peek #1

RPG Vault is offering up their first "peek" feature for Quest Online's Crusade, providing us with new details about the game's character progression system.
Crusade inverts the usual level-based system. Instead of levels defining your skills and capabilities, our system functions the other way around. We also call it a power level (PL for short) instead of just a level. When players first start out, if they wish to run out and start whacking on critters from the get go, they will see their PL bars rise rather quickly. However, since it's based on the advancement of their skills, they may find soon themselves PL 8, but that is just a reference to their executed combat skills. A blacksmith may find himself PL 8 just as quickly by building a few swords and pieces of armor, but the two characters will have different skill values.
