Four weapons classes are available to master: sword, spear, bow and knives. The spear was generally my favorite, with a sweeping damage arc that could hold multiple enemies at bay. However, it proved hard to wield in narrow passages, as every weapon strike in Elveon features realistic physical modeling. That means weapons actually clash in a dynamic, real-time manner; these aren't just canned animations that'll clip through walls. Very cool. Beyond the spear, the sword and daggers are variations on close-quarters quickness, while the bow obviously allows for distant strikes. It's currently got a very heavy auto-aim effect, so strong that it prevented me from going for one-hit headshots. I assume they'll allow players to turn off auto-aiming in the final game.
