The way the hero interacts with the rest of the world has its roots in the previous titles, as the '˜psychology' of the npc's remains basically unchanged. As a basic example, if the hero barges into people's houses, of course they will not idly stand by and watch as he plunders and loots their entire cutlery and everything they safely stashed away inside their chests.
But it does not stop here because the more important the people, the more touchy they are to the hero's attitude towards them. If he offends them many times they might not desire to speak to him again, thus closing the possibility of taking up quests from them.
