After the introductory instance was over, we appeared in the town of Archet in Breeland. It was the next morning and things were rapidly going downhill. Amdir had been wounded by the Morgul-blade. This can be considered a really bad thing. As Frodo's experience at the Fords of Bruinen indicated, a Morgul-blade can turn someone into a wraith under the control of the Nine. From a gameplay perspective, it looked like I had entered into the "real" world -- that is, the generalized gamespace that all players share. The town of Archet was a basic town with weapons and armor vendors as well as a Lore-master trainer where I could learn a few new skills. With the few coins I had acquired, I learned the "Metal Lore" power, a strong debuffer that causes anyone using forged materials to strike with reduced accuracy. It wouldn't help much against the local wolves and boars, but I had the feeling that most of the animals I'd be fighting in Archet walked on two legs.
