These are randomly placed occurrences in the world that are not there every time you adventure. They can take place in any area, and just like the environments themselves, are randomly generated so you'll never know what you're going to find. They are also tied to the environment, so for example, one time when you're adventuring in the Thames riverbed, you might find a group of Cabalists trying to summon a named Demon in order to destroy and, um, study the remains. You can choose to help them or not and, of course, there is no guarantee you'll see that particular event again.
