Q: What exactly do the "% Defensive Bonus (PvE)" and "% Piece Ablative (PvE)" on Catacombs items do?

A: Defensive Bonus - Player takes #% less damage from monsters in melee, but also does #% less damage to them in melee.

Piece Ablative - Reduces damage taken from melee or bolts against the part of the body that armor piece protects. (Note: Player archery is not affected.)
