Q: Are there environmental hazards, too? Can you fall off the edge of the arena, for instance?
A: You can! And some of our spells feature knock-back abilities. So, if someone is on the roof of a building for example, I could use a spell called 'mischief' which teleports the target in a random direction. which is really cool if you're fighting a melee character, because they get so disoriented. Similarly, the melee characters have a move called 'tackle', where they rush in and push you back - this could fling you off the edge.
Also, collision actually matters - which is rare for games like this. So if I'm standing in the middle of a doorway, for instance, you'll actually have to think about how to get me out of the doorway. That'll really come into play when there'll be a building with a capture point inside it - but the doors are blocked.
