inXile Working on Fallout Spiritual Successor?

During their June 8th podcast, 1Up's Garnett Lee states that a spiritual successor to Fallout 1 and 2 is being worked on by "the guy who originally did Wasteland." The comment shows up at the 1:20:55 mark, though Lee doesn't elaborate as to whether or not he's referring to inXile's Brian Fargo or if he has any proof to back up his claim.

However, since we know that inXile Entertainment purchased the rights to Wasteland from Interplay, it seems quite likely that we could expect the team to develop at least some type of game (RPG or not) in the same vein as Wasteland and, therefore, Fallout.
