Your chosen character will start the game in the township of Jorvik. Jorvik seems to be the last bastion of barbarian survival, as there are not to many friendly creatures out there! Inside your house you can find storage space, not just for your character, but for other characters you create. There is also a bookshelf for your tome's (which will help improve your covenants survivability in various ways) as well as room to place guards to help keep your lifestone protected. The lifestone is also inside your covenant house. This is the most important thing you have. It gives you the power to resurrect if you die, and without it you will have lost the game.
