Two Worlds Review

Graphically Two Worlds does not garner next generation level praise. Actually at times it's hard to even say it has good Xbox 1 graphics. There are places where the details are impressive, so it's a mixed bag but mostly on the bad side. Go to the top of a hill to look around and the vistas that should provide you with awe-inspiring views are just murky and yuck-inspiring. There are a ton of pop-ups with trees, people, and entire villages coming out of nowhere. That would be a cool trick for a David Blaine or David Copperfield but it's not what I want in my RPG. But the bigger problem is with the animations. These are very, very weak and everything looks very awkward as a result. The way your character moves makes it look like his muscles are just too sore to allow him to walk normally. This poor animation carries over to the variety of mounts you get to ride that includes horses and lizards. But if the animated horse is hard to watch just wait until you try and control that sucker. The controls are just horrible on the mounts and enough to get a controller or two tossed around a room. I've been on a real horse once in my life a few months ago and it was way easier to control than the one in this game.
