1) Thou Shalt Play From An Isometric Perspective And Love It
The times they aren't a-changing. Blizzard has always gone its own way, and Diablo III will be no exception, sticking with a traditional overhead isometric perspective. The team, in fact, didn't even consider making the shift to another solution, such as over the shoulder or first person. That's fine by us sticking to this perspective gives players great situational awareness, really shows off the number of enemies that can attack the player at any one time, helps emphasise the scale of the bosses, and also helps the player stay oriented in the world. The isometric perspective also keeps the focus squarely where it should be on the action.
Isometric was bound to make a comeback.
Plus, Blizzard's execution from the overarching visual design, through to the animations and the sound effects, make it feel fresh, giving Diablo III a distinct vibe. The main question that remains is how much control the player will have over the perspective. Will we be able to zoom in on the action as seen in the gameplay demo? We hope so.

5) Co-Op Is The Natural Order
Co-op is standard-issue in most action games these days, but Blizzard has known its importance for years. No surprise then, that co-op is going to play a huge role in Diablo III. We're talking drop-in, drop-out play. We're talking an overhaul of Battle.net (to launch with StarCraft II). We're talking about health globe drops that heal all the members of the party. And most importantly, you can say goodbye to scrambling for loot. In Diablo III, everyone sees their own loot.

In terms of numbers, Blizzard is adamant that bigger isn't necessarily better more people can mean more clutter and less readability. The sweet spot for the team is around four or five people, but the number isn't fixed yet. Regardless, co-op is going to be the way to play Diablo III.
