S: So how does Fable 2 stand out against the crowded autumn release schedule?
PM: You have never played a game like it and never before have I developed a game where the team have come and universally said (that's a great game). When you play it and get involved and wrapped up in it there are points in Fable II that you have never seen before.
S: How do you feel about Fable II compared to the original?
PM: I can't look at Fable 1 anymore. It's too fractured and broken. There were too many things that almost worked. We were perhaps overly ambitious. I look at Fable II and I see a world that works. There's a story that holds together and I think is one of the best stories I've ever experienced in a game. The choices that we talked about in Fable 1 are working now and are deeper and more involved. They're more than good and evil, they're cruelty and kindness, they're purity and corruption, greed and sacrifice and it all comes together as a total package and that's not even talking about all the surprises in there. You can go out and become a property speculator and end up owning everything and then just being unbelievably evil by putting everyone's rent up and making them homeless.
