Fable II Reviews

In conclusion (Fable 2) is not the epic, life-changing experience that some might have been expecting but instead a wonderfully varied adventure game in a business perhaps too preoccupied with scripted grandeur. Nothing here will blow your mind but it will make you feel strangely warm inside. Wandering around Albion is a pleasure only marred by a few hitches and plenty of glitches. Go into it expecting a traditional romp given new life by decision making and customization and you won't be disappointed. Excellent value for money and a game Microsoft should be proud of for what it is, not what it might have been.

I think this best sums up Fable II: in a week when no less than six big releases landed on consoles, Fable II was the one I went back to most often. And you know what? I have a feeling I'll be playing it for some time to come too. Not faultless, but so good in so many areas, you'd be a fool to ignore it over some inventory issues.
The third is at Telegraph with a perfect score of 5/5:
Fable II is a game that invites you to experiment, to become who you want to become, or just be yourself. There are choices made throughout the game that really make you pause to think and, back in real life, you'll be considering that choice on the train to work, maybe even with a touch of regret. You'll then be daydreaming of Albion at your desk, wondering where to go and what to do next. It's also a game that keeps on giving, you'll be returning to its world long after you've completed the main quest. Either to continue on your quest to become King and finishing off any side-quests; or wipe the slate clean, choose a new hero and weave a new fantastic tale. You see, the best thing about Fable II is the stories you will have to tell, whether they are of love, money, murder or sacrifice. And every hero's is different. What's yours?
And the fourth is at MSXbox-World with a score of 8.5/10:
I've enjoyed Fable 2 immensely, although I am left with the feeling that this has been an exact carbon copy experience from Fable or the more recent Lost Chapters. In fact in some respects, the game has been toned down further to create a more accessible game, which is great for the casuals, but not so great for anyone else. Fable 2 is without a doubt one of the easiest games around and in some regards this lets it down. There's really nothing overly taxing, bar switching off the quest marker and not leveling up at all. I'm not sure if I was expecting more, or maybe too much from Fable 2, because the familiarity of the experience and the fact that not much gameplay wise had been added from Fable. Still, I've enjoyed the overall experience and that's what counts, although I do feel there's still much more room for expansion. The MMO idea for which some groundwork has already been achieved could be a great direction for series. Either way, if you're after an adventure game that is easy to get into, easy to follow and offers a very laid back approach to gaming, then Fable 2 is certainly well worth the investment. You'll get a lot of bang for your buck if being a (completionist) is your thing; and with the option to form your very own Fable 2 online community offers that little bit more than its predecessor without losing what made the original single player experience engrossing and fun.
