Valve has put up another Steam Hardware Survey, sharing hardware numbers tallied via their digital download service Steam. With the usual disclaimer that they might not be 100% accurate, they do bring forth some interesting numbers, amongst which: DirectX10 support was available on 21.43% of the computers polled. More interesting is the growth of multi-core processors, with quad cores now having a 10.43% install base, and dual core a hefty 49.04%, meaning "only" 40.19% have single-core yet. And this while games can - as of yet - barely utilize quad cores.
