First up is Eurogamer with a score of 7/10:
Even so, Broken Steel is an essential upgrade to Fallout 3 that any committed fan will want to grab immediately. If you've held out buying any DLC for the game so far, we'd advise you start with this before getting the others, because the process of acquiring new perks and skills will enrich the game no end. Sadly, for those of you who've kept up to date, you might want to consider going back to an old savegame before you played Operation: Anchorage and The Pitt to really make the most of what Bethesda has unlocked with this release.
Then we have NowGamer with a score of 7.9/10:
Broken Steel reinvigorates Fallout 3's arguably untimely closure, but does little more than it says on the tin. Not that this is particularly a bad thing, when you consider it enables you to derive many more fun-filled hours from such an already astounding game world. This is fan service done correctly and well.
Followed by Edge Online with a score of 6/10:
Though it's never dull, Broken Steel's revisionist approach might upset those who value their place in Capital Wasteland history. It doesn't offer much to those who'd rather star in campfire tales, either, its missions concerned with strictly military affairs. But while it lacks the scope or density of Oblivion's The Shivering Isles, it's the most you're going to get out of Fallout's current batch of DLC. And as a long-anticipated reopening of the game's original map, it at least gives you something to live for.
