The original Zeno Clash, an independent first-person beat 'em up that turned heads with its art design, fell outside of our scope as a pretty linear fighting game. On the other hand, the recently announced sequel (with a post-release trailer of the first title) promises more non-linear gameplay and RPG elements (not defined further).

ACE Team wants the next installment to be much larger in scope, so the new game will feature open ended gameplay with large explorable environments and RPG elements. The unique melee combat system that made the first game a success will also be expanded to feature even more brutal and engaging gameplay.
