A bit from VGChartz:
Once an enemy is defeated, you can rummage through its remains. However, you have to put away your weapon before you can interact with anything in the world of Risen, including people. When your weapon is out, you are in attack mode, and sheathing it by pressing LT again will put you in exploration mode. Needless to say, the task feels awkward and laborious but is my only gripe as far as control is concerned.
Following the trail I eventually came across the house of a NPC, Sara. Sara will serve as the tutorial for the game and will play some sort of role in the story as it unfolds. She first ordered me to find a key to open a chess inside her house. Later on, players will develop lock-picking skills so they can open doors and chests without a key. Lock-picking will take the form of a minigame requiring players to memorize and repeat command patterns with the shoulder buttons and will vary in difficulty with the strength of the lock being picked. Once I opened the chest, Sara asked me too fry her some meat I found and feed it to her. Afterwards, she told me to continue exploring on my own then return for her later.
And a little something from Gamez (translated):
Risen will know a lot of personal choices and are often not clear choices between good and evil. It contains a pretty extensive game next main quest pretty much subquests, allowing for a large part can determine your own path. On that Risen area seems therefore to excel, because you really have many choices.
These features are also reflected in the everyday affairs in Risen. So you can eg cooking, collecting plants to make potions to make treasure hunts with a shovel or books to read so as to learn. For many of these activities you have at least the right stuff needed and some things you have to learn again.
And while we're on the subject, there are sixteen new screenshots on offer at WorthPlaying.
