The first in this latest batch is at Shogun Gamer with a score of 8/10:
But if the combat is your type of thing, and the visual problems doesn't put you off, Dragon Age Origins is one of the best RPG experiences you'll have the pleasure of playing this generation. An engaging plot filled with interesting characters and locales, a variety of enemies who will force you to plan ahead, as well as a genuine sense of freedom to go about things the way in which you want to means that there's plenty for you to enjoy. Better still, with so many branching options, you'll most likely want to experience it all over again.
Then we move to Sententias for a score of 4.5/5:
As always, at the end, there is only one question that needs answering: does the game deliver? Yes, it does. It's a very good one, with a lengthy lifespan, acceptable story, good gameplay and nice graphics. But I wouldn't go as far as to call it outstanding, impressive, state of the art, or a 5star game as many others did. No, it's not a life changing experience. No, I wouldn't lift babies towards the sun to thank the gods for it, I wouldn't stand in line for it and no, I'm not dying to find out if they are working on a sequel to it. But if you are looking for decent entertainment, I can assure you that Dragon Age is a good investment of both your money and your time.
After which BLPGaming comes in with a score of 9.0/10:
In closing, Dragon Age: Origins has converted me to a follower of this genre. I knew BioWare was an epic storyteller, but never have I seen a tale told so well in a game such as this. They dabble in politics, bravery, strategy, and moral choices above all. Every decision I was making felt like it had an impact on the story. So listen, if you're a fan of this genre or maybe have been looking for a great RPG to play, this is something to look at. I give this game one of my highest regards for the year, and has a strong chance to be Game of The Year. It might just be me, but I haven't played a game such as this in a long time.
And Shakefire tops off the evening with a score of "A-":
Truth is I really love this game despite the few flaws it has. I have been taking my time, leveling my characters up, tackling every side mission, buying up armor & gifts, talking to every character I could. I just don't want to bring it to an end. But luckily the replay value is high. Right now I am in the middle of the final battle. But I am already looking forward to starting over, creating a new character of a different race, class, or sex and see how the story changes. I can pick different replies and handle a variety of situations differently in order to see where it takes me. I'm not expecting a huge difference; but I think that there will be enough to make the game feel new again. I am glad that this one came my way because it is a nice distraction and helping time pass by faster for me as I await the release of (Final Fantasy).
